Hi. Democracy, unlike Dictatorship or Monarchy is a type of government in which the rulers of the country are not hereditary but are elected directly or indirectly by the people of that nation. At present, most of the countries in this world are democratic and others also want to be. Democracy in South Africa can be taken as an ideal democracy. Hope it helps.
