INERTIA:-

Inertia is the natural tendency of an object to resist a change in its state of motion or rest.

Inertia of rest

Inertia of rest is the tendency of an object to continue its state of rest until and unless an unbalanced external force acts upon it.

example:-

* when we beat a carpet dust particles come out of it.

* when we shake a tree fruit And leaves fall from the branches.

Inertia of motion

Inertia of motion is the tendency of an object to continue its state of motion until and unless an unbalanced external force acts on it

example:-

* passengers traveling in a car fall forward when the brakes are applied suddenly.

* if we toss a coin in a moving train the coin moves along with the train

* If a person trys to get down from a moving bus he tends to fall forward.

There's another type of inertia.
