Majoritarianism is a method practised in Sri Lanka even now. This is a particular type of statergy used by the government or any organisation to establish supremacy of any linguistic, social, cultural community in one country, state or confederation. the govt was not against the sinhala speaking buddhists. the govt adopted various measures to establish Sinhala supremacy, this steps adopted by the govt was known as majoritarianism.
