Explain the mechanism of attraction of iron nails by a magnet when brought near then?

see the metals are made of domains and in magnet the domains are arranged in a straight direction and in metals the are arranged in improper manner when magnet is brought near the domain are attracted and hence the domains get attracted and nails stick to it.
