The mechanism of oxygen flow between blood and tissues is given below: Blood carries oxygenated blood from lungs to other parts of the body. ... Now due to the difference in the oxygen concentration between blood and tissues, oxygen diffuses from blood into the tissues and carbon dioxide from tissues into blood.

Explanation:

when we take oxygen show the nasal cavity. then the oxygen goes to the alveoli that is sac like structure present in the lungs. Here by the process of diffusion exchange of gases between the blood and the alveoli takes place.

Then the blood goes to the heart. And heart pumps that pure blood to the other part of the body or the targeted site.

When the blood goes to the site or the tissues. Then again the process of diffusion takes place for the exchange of the gases (Oxygen and Carbon dioxide).

In the blood there is high concentration of oxygen then the tissue. On other hand, in tissue there is high concentration of carbon dioxide than the blood. Hence by the diffusion the exchange of gases takes place.

In the blood where high concentration of carbon dioxide present goes to the heart. Heart pumps the blood to the lungs for purification. This pathway continuous goes on.
