The steps involved in light reaction are :

1)Absorption of solar energy by Chlorophyll

2)Coversion of solar energy into chemical energy

3)Photolysis (Splitting) of water molecules

4)Reduction of CO2 into Carbohydrates .

Dark reaction involves certain bio chemical reactions in the plant body which takes place in the absence of light . eg: Production of nitrogen , oxygen , etc
