❤The cleansing action of soap is due to the fact that around the oil droplet, soap molecules forms micelles in such a way that the hydrophobic part is in the oil droplet and hydrophillic part is toward outside of the oil droplet. Since the polar groups can interact with water so the oil droplet surrounded by stearate ions is pulled in water and removed from the dirty surface. Thus soaps helps in emulsification and washing away of oils and fats.❤

✨ When soap molecules are present in water, the molecules arrange themselves in the form of a cluster in such a manner that their hydrophobic ends are away from the water molecules and their hydrophilic or ionic ends are towards the water molecules.
