Now nitrogen cycle :-
➡️Nitrogen Cycle is a biogeochemical process through which nitrogen is converted into many forms, consecutively passing from the atmosphere to the soil to organism and back into the atmosphere. It involves several processes such as nitrogen fixation, nitrification, denitrification, decay and putrefaction.
There are 5 stages of nitrogen cycle :-
•Nitrogen fixation (N2 to NH3/ NH4+ or NO3-)
•Nitrification (NH3 to NO3-)
•Assimilation (Incorporation of NH3 and NO3- into biological tissues)
•Ammonification (organic nitrogen compounds to NH3)
•Denitrification(NO3- to N2)

The atmospheric nitrogen is converted into usable form of nitrogen compounds; this process is called nitrogen fixation. In nature, nitrogen fixation happens due to lightning, nitrogen - fixing bacteria and blue - green algae. Leguminous plants have nitrogen - fixing bacteria call Rhizobium living in structures called nodules in plants roots. Available nitrogen compounds in the soil are absorbed by the crops and stored in plants in the form of proteins. Herbivores feed on the plants and carnivorous intern feet on the herbivores. After the death of plants and animals, the remains are decomposed and the nitrogenous compounds are returned to the soil. These compounds are absorbed by plants are they a are converted into nitrogen by denitrifying bacteria and released into the atmosphere. This process of the movement of nitrogen between the atmosphere, soil and organisms former cycle called the nitrogen cycle.
