The main objectives of NREGA(national rural employment guarantee act) 2005 are:-
1)this law gauranteed right to work in 200 district of India .
2)Under NREGA 2005 all those who are able to and are need of work are guaranteed 100 days of employment in a year by the government.
3)If the government fails in this duty to provide employment,it will give an unmployment allowances to the people.
4)The types of work that would in future help to increase the production from land will be given preference under the ACT.
5)Some of the work is reserved for women.

NREGA stands for "National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005" it was implemented by the central government.

It was passed for promoting rural employment for people who are living below poverty line and are able to, and willing to work have been guarantee 100 days employment in a year by the government.

If government fails to fulfil or provide employment to those people who registered there name under this Act will be given unemployment allowance.

It is applicable for only 200 districts, now it is extended to 330 districts of india
