- It was named after the town of Weimar.
- It was formed by a group of people who wanted Germany to be a democratic state.
- After the world war 1 Weimar republic was treated badly.
- Those who supported the republic ( mainly Socialists, Catholics
and Democrats) were mockingly called the ‘November criminals’.
- The republic was forced to carry the war guilt and pay for the loss.
