Plant hormones are not only found in higher plants, but are found in simpleforms of plant life such as algae. The five major plant hormones are auxins, gibberellins, cytokinins, abscisic acid, and ethylene. Abscisic acid plays a role in cell dormancy and is involved in the opening and closing of the stomata on leaves.

plant harmones are the diffusible chemical substances other than nutrients produced naturally in plants which regulates growth, development, differentiation, response to environment and other physiological processes. They are commonly synthesised away from the
region of action. Some of them are:-
Auxin,Gibberellins,Cytokinins,Abseisic acid,Ethylene.
Ethylene (CH2=CH2)is the only harmone which is found in from of gas.
