Mohenjodaro-Domestic Architecture
- Mohenjodaro was discovered after Harappa in 1922 by R.D. Banerji.
- It is located in the present day Sindh, Pakistan.
- The Mohenjodaro is divided into Citadel and the Lower Town.
- The Citadel is physically seperated from the lower town.
- The Lower Town had residential buildings. Many were centred on a courtyard, with rooms on all sides.
- Every house had its own bathroom paved with bricks,with drains connected through the wall to the street drains.
- Some houses have remains of staircases to reach a second storey or the roof.
- There are around 700 wells in Mohenjodaro.
