There are two periodic laws in chemistry:

Periodic Law( older one which was proposed by Mendeleev)- it states that the physical and chemical properties of elements are a periodic function of their atomic mass.

Modern periodic Law ( it was proposed by Henry Moseley) - it states that the physical and chemical properties of elements is the periodic function of their atomic number.
