Explanation:

Simple Diffusion across the Cell (Plasma) Membrane. The structure of the lipid bilayer allows small, uncharged substances such as oxygen and carbon dioxide, and hydrophobic molecules such as lipids, to pass through the cell membrane, down their concentration gradient, by simple diffusion.

Explanation:

Cell membrane - It the outer thick, protective, ridid membrane outside the plasma membrane. Its thickness varies in different types of cells. It is composed of cellulose.

Inside the cell membrane there is plasma membrane. It is outer membrane which separates the cell from its outer environment. It is flexible. It is composed of lipids molecules that are present in viscous bilayer. It also has protein molecules attached to the end. It's flexibility help the cell to engulf food.
