Biological magnification, also referred as the bio-magnification, refers to the increase in the concentration of toxic substance like, DDT, chemicals, heavy substance etc. with each successive trophic level of food chain. The concentration of this toxic substances is highest trophic level.

Tertiary consumers, are the organisms, which consume dead and decay organisms body. After the dead of the organisms, the toxic substances react on the organisms body and the tertiary consumers consume that bodies and it lead to their dead and also, break their ecological cycle.
