Explain the phenomenon camouflage.How does it help animals survive in their habitat?

The phenomenon of Camouflage means to acquire the colour of the background environment by a living being (like Chameleon).
It helps animals to survive in their habitat by protecting them against predators as the predators can't notice the 'camouflaged' animal.

camouflage is a special adaption either genetic or behavioural .
seeming dissappeared using your own sorrounding is known as camouflage
chamaleon is the classic example .. its skin changes colour according to its sorroundings .. it merges itself into the sorrounding colours..
this helps him not to get identified by the scavangers
