Explain the phenomenon of acid rain formation???

The chemical reaction which begins when compounds like sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide meet freely in the air causes Acid rain.

These chemical substances when raised in the highest atmosphere get mixed with oxygen, water, and chemical substance present in the atmosphere and forms the most acidic compound called as acid rain.
