Explain the phenomenon of biological magnification. How does it affect organism belonging to different trophic levels particularly the tertiary consumers??

biomagnification is referred to as the multiplication of toxic matter as one moves across the food chain.

larger is the animal on the food chain the greater is the toxic concentration in it.

as you have asked in the question the particular example that we can give is:-

When earth worms who have eaten certain Fertilizer in the soil which are toxic the birds who will eat those at once we'll get affected at a large extent than those Earth worms.

as this concentration gets on increasing as one moves on the higher trophic levels,
the tertiary level consumer such as Eagle tigers lions etc..
get affected to a very large extent and hence why on the spot because the toxic level of concentration that they are taken inside them is very high which comes then to a really large extent.
