Thank you for this question. Please find the answer below:

The poem, Ulysses is written by Alfred Tennyson in the Victorian. The poem is a great blend of Victorian Christian values and ultra-modern views in the society. Tennyson has himself been a non-conformist which allows the poem to have a different view of life than other people of the Victorian era.

He in the poem shows that there is no meaning of life if life is spend in indolence. He believes that a lazy life is equivalent to death. He says that a person must live life to the fullest.

Hi Buddy,

Philosophy Of Ulysses's Life:

In Ulysses his philosophy and personality both are seen to be merged. Tennyson himself said that Ulysses which was written shortly after Hallam's death (September-1832), gave his “feeling about the need of going forward, and braving the struggle of life, perhaps more simply than anything in In Memoriam (1850)”.

Hope it helps you
