Poiseuille's law applies to laminar flow of an incompressible fluid of viscosity through a tube of length and radius . The direction of flow is from greater to lower pressure. Flow rate is directly proportional to the pressure difference , and inversely proportional to the length of the tube and viscosity of the fluid.
