Power distribution in Belgium is as follow:

  • Equal Representation : Constitution prescribes equal representation of French and dutch speaking people in central government.
  • Sharing of Powers : Central government has given some powers to state government. State government are not subordinate to the central government
  • Separate Government in Belgium : Belgium has a separate government with equal representation of French and Dutch speaking people.
  • Community Government : Apart from central government, there was another government called community government elected by people of each community. They have powers regarding educational and linguistic issues.
