We can prepare washing soda with the help of NaHCO3 by the following method -

• Required materials :

- Sodium bicarbonate.

- Heat source.

• At first,take some amount of baking soda or NaHCO3 in some bowl.

• Then give heat to that bowl to make the temperature of NaHCO3 more than 270°C.

• At that temperature,the sodium bicarbonate starts transforming into washing soda or sodium carbonate (Na2CO3). Additionally,carbon dioxide gas and water are also produced in this chemical reaction.

• Chemical equation :

NaHCO3 + ∆ ---> Na2CO3 + CO2 + H2O
