According to the Principle of the Homogeneity of the Dimensions, the dimensions of the Fundamental quantities(such as mass, length, time, etc.) must be same in each and every term on either side of the Physical Relation.

In other words, Physical quantities can only be correct when the dimensions on both the sides of the Equations are same.

If the Dimensions on both the sides of the Equation are not correct, then the Equation is also incorrect as per as the Principle of the Homogeneity.

Let us take the Example of the Length,
If we will derive the dimensions of the length from the Equation, then the resulting answers must have the length as the Dimensions then only it can be correct.

Uses of the Principles of the Homogeneity are ⇒

1. The Principles of the Homogeneity is useful in checking the correctness of the equation.
2. This law also used to derive the dimensions of the Other physical derived Quantities.

Hope it helps.
