conduction of water in plants occur in xylem of vascular bundles
to transport water roots first absorb water from soil.
in short plants water is conducted by root pressure
whereas in tall plants water is conducted to top of plant by transpiration
by osmosis water transports from one cell to other and finally reaches the top most cell then goes out through stomata
