DIGESTION

-The process of converting complex and bug food particles into simple,small and absorbable form by the action of enzymes in the alimentary canal is called digestion.

- The process of digestion starts from the mouth cavity. The teeth helps in chewing the food. The tongue helps in mixing saliva into the food during the mastication process.

- The food which us swallowed passes through the food pipe into the stomach.Food remains in the stomach for 3-5 hour.Here it is mixed with gastric juice.

- Bile duct pours bile juice, it breaks down the fats into smaller globules.

- The small intestine has glands that produce intestinal juice. Proteins are converted into amino acids,carbohydrates into glucose and fats into fatty acids and glycerol.
