Each pollen grains contains a vegetative cell and two male gamets . Once a Pollen Grain reaches the stigma, the vegetative cell produces a long tube called the Pollen tube . The Pollen tube, which carries the male gametes, pushes its way down to the style and into the ovule Through The micropyle . One male gamete fuses with the egg cell in the ovule, giving rise to the zygote . This is called fertilization . The Other male gamete fuses with other cells within the ovule to form the food store of the seed.
