RNA takes up the responsibility for the production of amino acid chain. Finally, a large chain of amino acids is formed, which is then sent to golgi bodies for further processing and there, it gets transformed into a protein.
There are three distinct steps of protein synthesis. These are
Initiation: The first step where the ribosomal subunits assemble on the initiation codon of the mRNA chain to form the initiation complex and start the process of protein synthesis.
Elongation: The second step where the t-RNA brings and attaches the correct amino acid in a proper sequence to elongate the protein chain.
Termination: The third and the last step during which the ribosome encounters the stop codons and caeses assembling the amino acids.
The amino acid chain then undergoes further packaging and forms the final protein.

Explanation:
Complex proteins are made up of various protein molecules which are linked by non-covalent bonds. Amino acids are the basic units of the proteins. They link together to form a primary structure, polypeptide chain. ... This structure then folds into a three-dimensional structure called as tertiary structure.
