Cotton is found to be grown around the seed inside a protective covering. At first the cotton seeds are collected and cotton s are taken out from them. The cotton collected are washed and laid side by side. A machine called carding machine makes them into soft, untwisted rope called sliver. From that sliver yarn is made by the modern spinning frames. A machine called loom is used to weave cotton yarn into fabrics.

After collecting cotton seeds it takes about 10 days to prepare cotton fabrics.

Cotton is processed in Cotton Mills.
