↵Photosynthesis is the process by which autotrophs (plants) take in raw materials like carbon dioxide and water from the environment and convert it into stored form of energy (glucose) in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll.
Factors which influence photosynthesis are -
Carbon Dioxide concentration -Sometimes photosynthesis is limited by the concentration of carbon dioxide in the air. Even if there is plenty of light, a plant cannot photosynthesise if there is insufficient carbon dioxide.
Sunlight -Without enough light, a plant cannot photosynthesise very quickly, even if there is plenty of water and carbon dioxide. Increasing the light intensity will boost the speed of photosynthesis.
Temperature- if it gets too cold, the rate of photosynthesis will decrease. Plants cannot photosynthesise if it gets too hot.
Chlorophyll and water- chlorophyll is necessary to absorb sunlight .
Hope it helped..
HEY MATE!!
■ Absorption of light energy by chlorophyll.
■ Conversion of light energy to chemical energy.
■ Splitting of water molecules.
■ Reduction of carbon dioxide to carbohydrates.
