If power sharing is not enacted in any nation or any particular region and the majority dominates the minority section , this act will conjure a feeling of alienation among them. They (minorities) will feel subdued. This can have consequences like riots or even civil war , which can undermine the unity of the country. So, in a diverse nation like India power sharing is our best bet to maintain peace.

Moral Reason:

As every citizen is an integral part of the country, irrespective of race, caste, religion etc. They have moral right to be consulted on how they want to be ruled. Power sharing serves to this requirement
