The circulatory system of the lungs is the portion of the cardiovascular system in which oxygen-depleted blood is pumped away from the heart, via the pulmonary artery, to the lungs and returned, oxygenated, to the heartvia the pulmonary vein.

Our transportation system is a double circulation system.This is because the blood passes through our heart two times in one cycle. The impure blood from our body is brought to the right atrium through the venacava by the veins and then it passes through the right ventricle from valves . Then the blood is taken to the lungs through pulmonary artery to purify it. It is brought back through pulmonary vein and it enters the left atrium and then through left ventricle before it is sent to all the parts of the body by arteries.
