a.  Aryans, organised themselves into tribes headed by rajan.

b. The rajan was responsible and accountable to village councils comprising of sabha and samitis.

c. There were  presence of  assemblies exercising control over the kings.

d. Both Sabhas , Samitis, Vidanta enjoyed a very important place in the vedic period.

e. It was identified that Sabha basically comprised of Brahminical elite and was the body of elders.

f. The samiti mainly composed of the entire population which was responsible for electing and regulating the acts of the king.

g. The political system was democratic in nature.
