Sol. i am solving first and second part you can do them by the same method
=> x - 1 = 0 (given)
x = 1
(i) x^2 + x + k = 0
1 + 1 + k =0
k = 2
(ii) 2x^2 + kx + /2 = 0 ............ (using / for root like /2 means root 2)
2 + k + /2 = 0
k = - /2 - 2
you can also use value of /2
