Showing both geographic and political administrative partition of India is the northeast area of Hindustan  

Consists of mainly eight states i.e. namely  Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.  

Siliguri Corridor in West Bengal has width of 21 to 40 kilometres which connects the North Eastern Region with East India.  

That region shares an international border of 5,182 kilometres with the annex countries.
