Explain the reason of o2+ being more reactive than o2

Hey dear,

● Explained answer -
- In O2, all electrons are involved in bonding and present in bonding orbitals. As there are no free electrons, it's less reactive.
- In O2+, one electron is deficient and 1 electron is present in antibonding orbital. Because of free electron it is more reactive than O2 molecule.
