Biology, asked by injustice, 1 year ago

Explain the reasons:-
1.)Why a plant dies, it is overwatered?
2.)Why pitcher plant is insectivorous though it has green pigment which can help help it to manufacture it's own food?
3.)Why should we not call excretory products of plants as waste products?
4.)Why vegetative method of plant reproduction is considered beneficial?
5.)Why pistillate or staminate flower is called an incomplete flower?
6.)Why Seed dispersal is important for plants?

If You answer all I will mark as brainliest for sure.

as more water burst out the cell wall. in pitcher plant it has to complete its nitrogenous need it eat up insects. as waste products of plant are not waste because bye products like o2 is necessary, gums are used as medicines. in vegetative methods we can produce large quantities and variety of plants. seed dispersal is important because it helps in fertilization of plants

1.Roots growing in waterlogged soil maydie because they cannot absorb the oxygen needed to function normally. The longer the air is cut off, the greater the root damage. The dying roots decay and cannot supply the plantswith nutrients and water. Damage caused by over watering is frequently misdiagnosed as pest damage.
2.Because Pitcher plant is green as it contains chlorophyll and hence it is capable of performing photosynthesis ( a process in which green plants prepare their own food with the help of sunlight) due to which they are also called as Autotrophs. Pitcher plants on the other hand are also called as Carnivorous pants.
3.Plants produce two gaseous waste products i.e. oxygen during photosynthesis and carbon dioxide during respiration. ... Excess of water is also excreted from the plant body through the stomatal pores and from the surfaces of fruits and stems. The process of elimination of water is called transpiration.
4.Vegetative reproduction is not evolutionary advantageous; it does not allow for genetic diversity and could lead plants to accumulate deleterious mutations. Vegetative reproduction is favored when it allows plants to produce more offspring per unit of resource than reproduction through seed production.
5.An incomplete flower is defined as a flower missing any of its parts in its natural form, i. e. petals, sepals, stamens or pistils.

A related term is "imperfect flower" indicating flowers that lack either stamens or pistils. Imperfect flowers that bear only pistils are called pistillate flowers (or female flowers) and those that bear only stamens are called staminate flowers (or male flowers).

Plants having separate imperfect male and female flowers on one plant are referred to as "monoecious". When the flowers are on different plants the species is referred to as "dioecious".

6.because if the seeds are not dispersed, many germinating seedlings will grow very close to the parent plant. This results in competition between every one of the seedlings as well as with the parent plant. The competition is for light, space, water and nutrients.
