Explain the relationship between free and fair election of democracy

It provides a safe enviornment to the EVM's by full police security so that there will be no chance of cheating after elections.
It provide an Independent system of Election Commission which ensures some rules and regulations.
It prevents the participation of criminals and bad persons having pending cases against them in politics.
