ANSWER :-

  • Total resistance of the figure is 7.5 Ω.

TO FIND :-

  • The total resistance of the given figure.

SOLUTION :-

As we know that , If the resistors are connected in parallel combination then equivalent resistance is given by,

Parallel,

1 / Rₑ = 1/R₁ + 1/R₂ + ... + 1/Rₙ.

➟ 1 / Rₑ = 1/5 + 1/5

➟ 1 / Rₑ = (1 + 1)/5

➟ 1 / Rₑ = 2/5

➟ Rₑ = 5/2

Rₑ = 2.5 Ω.

Total Resistance,

➙ Rₙₑₜ = 5Ω + 2.5 Ω

Rₙₑₜ = 7.5 Ω

Hence the total resistance of the given circuit is 7.5 Ω.

Given

  • Total resistance of the figure is 7.5 Ω.

We FIND

  • The total resistance of the given figure.

We know that

If the resistors are connected in parallel combination then equivalent resistance is given by parallel.

According to the question

= 1 / Rₑ = 1/R₁ + 1/R₂ + ... + 1/Rₙ.

= 1 / Rₑ = 1/5 + 1/5

= 1 / Rₑ = (1 + 1)/5

= 1 / Rₑ = 2/5

= Rₑ = 5/2

= Rₑ = 2.5 Ω.

So, Total Resistance,

= Rₙₑₜ = 5Ω + 2.5 Ω

= Rₙₑₜ = 7.5 Ω

So that's clear, total resistance of the given circuit is 7.5 Ω.
