Answer: It is incredibly complex.

I tried to explain it as nicely as I can . So ,please mark me as the Brainleist )

Rise:

. >was a hardworking  with very high potential. Very focused, hard worker, amazing drive and energy levels. In addition  with a very high ambition.

> He was there at the very right place and the very right time. He was a part of the army in a time when France was in chaos and the army was very active. Therefore, he got the chance to show his skills from a very early stage and build upon his weaknesses .

>there often clashes with legislature regarding any decision and sought to dismiss them. This conflict paved the way of rise of Napoleon  Bonaparte.

Downfall:

> The same ambition and drive which made him rise also made him too big for his own good. He became too dangerous for several other countries to ignore. Plus, his ambition to grow France further and further put him at odds with the other major powers.

>The same energy and work level which made him rise also worn him out quite a bit. By his 40´s he was a man with some small but inconvenient health issues. He was no longer able to withstand longer campaigns on horse and push his body as in previous years. Quite possibly, the compound stress was also undermining a bit his decision making.

> The way in which he promoted people around him had all sorts of results. Even tough he often recognized and promoted people considering their merits, the problem is he also promoted family and close friends into the highest positions. These family and close friends were not always at the required level for the jobs he gave them.

>he was finally  defeated by Allie in 1815 in the battle of waterloo .
