greenhouse gases are the main components that lead to global warming.
gases like CO2, Methane CH4 Nitrogen ,and chloro fluoro carbon, are emitted in the atmosphere.
they in turn go and trap heat in the atmosphere.
it thereby increases the heat of the globe, leading to global warming.

hope it helps!!!!!

Green house gases are gases that are useful in retaining the heat of the atmosphere.
Green house effect is the warming up of the earth's surface due to the blanketing effect/concentration of greenhouse gases.
Excessive greenhouse effect results in a rise in the atmospheric temperature which now has a global impact and is termed as Global warming.
In the prescence of EXCESSIVE greenhouse gases, the surface temperature of the earth is increased since the solar rays i.e, the long wave radiations pass through the layer of green house gases in the atmosphere.
The heat radiation which is reflected back from the earth into the atmosphere is retained due to the ba
lanketing effect of green house gases.
This results in a rise in global warming.

HOPE THIS HELPS :)
