explain the role of industrial revolution in destroying the Indian textile industry ?

in early 18 century, industrial revolution proved to be a boon for some countries like britain and curse for colonies like india. things become worse with British Conquest in bengal in 1757.in fact this was followed by a steady decline in Indian textile industry.

there was an unequal competition between cheap machine made goods and high price hand made indian handicraft. british machine made goods coming to india did not pay any duty while Indian goods sent to Britain were highly taxed. invention of machine like steam engine, cotton gin and power loom also destroy indian textile industry...
