The role of Mahatma Gandhi during the period 1916-1918:
•In 1916,he founded the Sabarmathi Ashram in Ahmedabad.
•During the year 1917-18,The Champaran Satyagraha movement was held by Mahatma Gandhiji in the district of Champaran,in Bihar to make the demand of cultivators accepted.
•In 1918,Mahatma Gandhiji also led Kheda Satyagraha.
•Kheda Satyagraha was started by Mohan Lal demanding the remission of taxes due to crop failure in Kheda village in Gujarat .
