What is Photosynthesis?

The process that plants carry out in the presence of radiant energy in order to create their food is known as photosynthesis. This process is one of the reasons because of which man and other forms of life are alive on the Earth today. This process basically occurs in the green parts of leaves. This process requires the following ingredients.

the role of photosynthesis are as follow :

1.FOOD- by photosynthesis green plants synthesise food from simple raw materials like carbon dioxide and water thus it sustains life on earth.

2.OXYGEN- oxygen released during the process of photosynthesis is needed by animals and humans for respiration.it is also required for respiration of microbes.oxygen also supports combustion of fuels.

3.FUELS- fossil fuels like Coal,Oil and natural gas are forms of store solar energy synthesized by photosynthesis millions of years ago.
