Constitution is a fundamental body according to which government of a country function. There is many law and rules written on the constitution which must be follow by the people as well as government officials.
It plays very important role in country like it divides power between the federal government and state government. IT creates a national government consisting of of legislative, an executive, a judicial branch, with a system of checks and balances among the three branches.
