explain the role of vascular tissues in plants

Vascular tissue is composed of xylem and phloem.The xylem helps in the transport of water absorbed through roots to all the aerial parts of plant and phloem helps in transporting the manufactured food from leaves to all other parts of plant.

phloem and xylem form vascular bundle and xylem help in water transport from root to top, whereas phloem help in food transport to every part ,xylem is unidirectional, phloem is bidirectional.
