The rate of change in momentum is directly proportional to the force applied

Ex- 1. you use the same force to push a truck

2. push a car, the car will have more acceleration than the truck, because the car has less mass.

3.It is easier to push an empty shopping cart than a full one, because the full shopping cart has more mass than the empty one.

According to this law, the change in momentum of a body per unit time is directly proportional to the unbalanced force acting on the body and the change in momentum take place in the direction of the unbalanced force on the body .
for example,
1.a cricket player lower his
hand while catching the ball
2. a person falling on the cemented floor gets injured but a person falling on a heap of sand is not injured
