Human beings have 46 chromosomes present in their nuclei. In them 44 are same in male and female so,they known as autosmes. And last pair is known as sex chromosome. ln male it is XY and in female it is XX.
During fertilisation if an egg is fertilised by X Chromosome then, the child will develop into a girl. But,if an egg is fertilised by Y chromosome then it will develop into a boy child

Hiya! Your answer:
Sex determination of a baby is done at the time of fertilisation when a male gametes fuse with a female gamete. It depends on male partner whether the baby will be a male child or female child. When a sperm containing X chromosome fertilises the egg, the zygote would have two X chromosomes and develop into a female child. If the sperm contributes a Y chromosome to the egg (ovum) at fertilisation, the zygote would develop into a male child.
