Democracy rests upon the principal of majority rule and individual rights.

one of the major feature is to protect basic human rights such as freedom of speech and religion.The right to equal protection under law.opportunity to organize and participate fully in the political,economical and cultural life of society.

●In a Democracy where citizens have right their are also some duties and responsibilities.

Tolerence, cooperation and compromise these are the basic things which you can expect from a Democratic society.
