In India, most of the northwest region is covered with deserts including the Thar Desert.
Apart from that, there is a Himalayan fringe in the north which occupies most of the geographical area.
Other than that, the population density is high throughout the country.
However, core population lies in the north and as well as along the banks of River Ganges.
Southern India also has a dense population.
However, in Brazil, most of the population is near the Atlantic coast.
Rest of the population is in the east anchored by Brasilia, Sao Paolo, and Rio de Janeiro.
