One of the biggest similarities is that  both are communist and have been known for dictatorial attitude when ruling people and the nation

Explanation:

  • Both nation have a one party system. However, in reality, the "Workers' Party of Korea  (WPK)" holds complete monopoly on power & other political parties are not constitutionally [ermitted to take power, thus making North Korea a one-party nation. China, as as a one-party nation, the Communist Party of China (CPC) holds the ultimate & paramount authority & power over the  state & the government
  • North Korea's censorship ranks among the worst in the world with the govt being able to control communications rigorously. Censorship in China, for mainly political purposes the govt censors content, and also to retain its control of the population. The Chinese govt maintains that it has legitimate rights within its jurisdiction to control Internet content & that its censorship laws do not breach citizens' right to freedom of speech
  • Many human rights groups in China have made human rights issues known as mismanagement of the government, such as: the death penalty, the one-child policy, Tibet 's political and juridical status, and a disregard for press freedom in mainland China. Failure to recognise human rights in law, absence of an independent judiciary, the rule of law & due process are other areas of concern. The human rights record in North Korea, which has been internationally condemned, is generally viewed as the worst in the region. The abuses of human rights in North Korea include: abuses of freedom of speech, violations of the right to life , freedom of travel and forced disappearance, infringement of the right to health, apartheid, etc.
